Aitakes takes off in the custom development of video platforms

Aitakes is making a spectacular breakthrough in the creation and development of SVOD platforms.

Aitakes creates and develops SVOD platforms (subscription video on demand platforms), as already exist in niche sectors such as hunting and fishing, extreme sports and entertainment. The start-up targets advertisers who own video content and want to monetise it on their own platform. « Aitakes gives them control of their own SVOD platform », summarises marketing director Marion Cornet.

The company’s clients include Equilibre Fitness, Zone300, Beau Travail, which offers travel videos, and ‘Inlive with’, a celebrity app. « We own our technology and have end-to-end control of the application: from code to infrastructure, from marketing levers for acquiring new subscribers to our internal algorithm for analysing user behaviour and helping retain subscribers”, she adds.
Aitakes advises its clients, providing them with a dashboard where they can upload their videos and access the necessary data to optimise their SVOD platform.

It now plans to become a major player in the entertainment industry and hopes to raise €7.5m to finance R&D and support the platform’s international expansion. A new translation system is being developed. Online purchasing software will also be released later this year, allowing users to purchase the products in the video they are watching, either directly from the platform or from a distributor’s website.

About fifty new members of staff are set to be recruited in the coming months in both technical and marketing roles. The platforms developed by Aitakes are available on web browsers, Freebox, mobile and TV applications as well as Amazon Fire Stick… Partnerships are being finalised with other Internet service providers.
