The right advice, through a software solution. WAG Data has developed a SaaS tool to predict the buying decisions of web users. The company uses Big Data and AI to analyse their behaviour and push, in real time on the professional website they are visiting, the offers likely to match their expectations or centres of interest in order to convert them into sales. The user experience is improved and this is what makes Wag Data special: although it interacts directly with the site, it does not require any additional development for implementation.

Founded in 2019 in Montarnaud, near Montpellier, the company has spent two full years developing its solution, drawing on the expertise of its three founders: Laurent Wigneron, a graduate of the École Centrale de Lyon, an expert in Big Data and AI, Guillaume Zaffaroni, a business developer, and Anthony Gross, a development engineer.

WAG Data targets the customers of merchant sites, in particular marketplaces, but also sites offering content, including media sites. However, while the company focuses on web users’ intentions, it does not in any way collect their personal data and, its creators assure us, is fully compliant with the GDPR.

After a beta-testing period, WAG Data is now launching its solution, offering monthly or annual subscription options. « Five contracts have already been signed and others are in the process of being finalised”, says CEO Guillaume Zaffaroni.

In order to accelerate its growth, it wants to raise between €500,000 and €650,000. This should enable it to build up its sales team, develop the functionalities of its solution and maintain its technological lead. To do this, Wag Data decided to call on the support of Occitanie Invest.

« This event has prepared us well in terms of fundraising, with great organisation down to the smallest detail », concludes COO Laurent Wigneron, who adds: « AD’OCC and the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region have supported us since we launched the project. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them.”
