Many countries and businesses around the world don’t always have access to a reliable local weather data service. Founded by Christine David, Pascal Venzac and Julien Soursou, three executives from Méteo France International, WeatherForce fills this gap.

The Toulouse-based company, incubated by Nubbo in 2016, has developed solutions that use meteorological intelligence to meet the needs of sales, marketing or agricultural production. It has developed a collaborative platform covering the whole world, scalable and accurate to the km², combining global weather and climate data and local multi-source data. WeatherForce differentiates itself through its collaboration with local weather institutions, allowing it to cover the 65% of countries without weather intelligence tools.

It has designed several dedicated products: WiForCrop for the agrifood industry and WiForSales to, for example, identify the areas with high sales potential for their activity based on the current weather conditions.

WeatherForce’s unique approach provides real growth leverage for those involved. « Our tools are designed to help you make decisions. They are business-oriented and support our clients to reach into territories that are inaccessible to our competitors”, explains Christine David, the company’s CEO.
After a first round of financing in 2019 (€420k), WeatherForce wants to raise €3.5m. New offers will be launched and the company will expand internationally. « Our European customers will use our solutions for their international activities, and local businesses must be able to access them in Africa, South America and Asia”, explains Christine David. The market is estimated at a value of €800 million per year. After Peru, Ivory Coast and Vietnam, ten countries will be covered by 2024.

The company is supported by the Occitanie Region, which it welcomes: this is « high-level, phased support », in line with its needs. Having benefited from an Export Pass in 2018 (transformed into an Export Contract in 2021), WeatherForce also benefited from a Rebound Pass last year, « which enabled the industrialisation of the engine » for its platform.
